Annual Life Certificate: What is the last date for filing Jeevan Pramaan
Pensioners must present life certificates annually, once in November, to authorized pension payment providers such as banks and post offices, after which their pension is credited to their account.
To avail this DLC service, you need to register for Doorstep Banking, fill the Life Certificate form along with required details and submit it through Doorstep Banking.
Jeevan Praman Patra: Registration for Doorstep Banking
According to the SBI website, “Requests for door-to-door banking services should be made at the Home Branch only until the development of the Contact Center is complete.” Pensioners can book the service through any channel i.e. DSB App/Web Portal/Toll Free Numbers. . The DSB agent will visit the customer’s doorstep and collect a life certificate online using the Jeevan Pramaan app.
How to register for doorstep banking
As per SBI website below are the steps for Doorstep banking
Step 1: Download the Doorstep Banking app from the iOS app store and Android Play Store
Step 2: Enter their mobile number to register after successfully downloading and installing the app.
Step 3: OTP will be generated from system and enter OTP in DSB application
Step 4: On confirmation, enter your name and email (optional) password (PIN) and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Step 5: Sign in to the app with a PIN to enter additional information.
Step 6: Select and add address option and enter address details. Customers can add multiple addresses and store in the DSB app. Customers can add, edit or delete addresses at any time.

Door banking fee
For financial and non-financial services, including submitting a life certificate, the bank charges Rs 70 plus GST. However, it may vary depending on the bank. Some banks offer limited free banking services for seniors.
GNP
According to the PNB website, “Submit your life certificate free of charge through Doorstep Banking at designated DSB branches through PSB Alliance during 01.10.2024 to 31.12.2024 through PSB Alliance Call Center – 9152220220 , DSB Mobile App (PSB Alliance) or Website (PSB Alliance) ).”
Bank of Canaria
Canara Bank customers can Now you can submit your Life Certificate through video call from the comfort of your home. Simply schedule a time slot as desired and submit your life certificate through a secure and hassle-free process
- The original PAN card MUST be available to be shown during the video call to the bank official.
- Blank paper with pen MUST be available during the video call.
- Aadhaar linked mobile number MUST be available to receive E-KYC OTP.
Bank of India
The customer can register through any of the 3 channels, i.e. mobile application/ web portal/ call center. Once the agent reaches the Customer’s Door Step, he/she will proceed to hand over the documents to the DSB Agent only after the Service Code matches the one available at the agent. The Customer shall have the “Payment Slip” duly completed and signed in all respects (containing details of the instrument/s to be transmitted).
IPPB
Life certificate submission is available for IPPB and non-IPPB customers. To avail the DLC service, a customer can contact the nearest post office or request a door-to-door visit to the postman/Grameen Dak Sevak. Department of Posts has also allowed scheduling of door requests through Post Info App or through website “ http://ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx ” For every successful generation of DLC , a nominal fee of Rs . 70 (including GST/CESS) will be charged.
There will be no door charges charged to IPPB or non-IPPB customers for issuing DLC.
